Life Membership

Life membership may be conferred on members who have made outstanding contributions to badminton and/or the Association. No more than two (2) members may be elevated to Life Membership in any year.

Life Membership are expected to have 10 years service to the Association at the time of nomination.

General Member

A member of the Association who is entitled to vote has the right—

  • to receive notice of general meetings and of proposed special resolutions in the manner and time prescribed by these Rules; and
  • to submit items of business for consideration at a general meeting; and
  • to attend and be heard at general meetings; and
  • to vote at a general meeting; and
  • to have access to the minutes of general meetings and other documents of the Association as provided under rule 68; and
  • to inspect the register of members.

A member is entitled to vote if—

  • the member is a member other than a junior member; and
  • the member’s membership rights are not suspended for any reason.

Golden Club, members in their eighties and still playing badminton on a regular basis.
